College na 'ko! :))

Ohh geez. It's almost here. It's fast approaching. D:

Well, if you're wondering what I'm talking about, lemme give you a not-so-short but brief introduction 'bout this post.. Hmm..

Like any other senior high school students here in my country, I had to take several college entrance examinations after graduation. Well, I took tests & interviews specifically @ the University of Sto. Tomas & @ the University of the Philippines.

Fortunately, and with God's grace, I passed both. Hotel & Restaurant Mgmt. @ UST, and BS Applied Physics in UP (which is absolutely not of my interest). But definitely I cannot go to two schools at the same time, so I had to have a choice --- immediately.

Comparing the two prestige universities is tougher than I expected, considering that decision-making in this case is very crucial. So, I had to consult some of my friends, my family, my adviser. I once even asked Him for a sign.

I went through hell, hell, and hell just to get over with this situation.

But at the end of the day, of course, haha, it was my MOM's decision that reigned :))

Eventhough I presumed to study at UST, she insisted I go to UP.

I cannot blame her, not only because she had the right to decide for me, but also to think that the opportunity to study in the "nation's premier university" (as recognized by the Senate Resolution No. 276 of the Senate of the Philippines, haha!) is too rare to be offered to everyone.

Not for the purpose of humility, but I am not really the type of geeky students who has to have a pair of eyeglasses due to the fact that they ALWAYS study, and had their eyes worn out :))

haha I'm kidding 'cause I have one too :))

Well, the point is I am not sure of what to feel. Should I be anxious for the opening of classes on June8? or should I be nervous?.. Phew. Screw it D:

This June 6 (Sunday), I'm already staying at the dorm I reserved a month ago. It is a UP-accredited dorm, located inside the UPLB Campus itself. Actually thinking about this makes me a little sick. Know why? Because I'm scared! Hahaha! You know I cannot even cook and I am pretty messy about my stuff sometimes. Sigh. This time, I really have to learn to stand with my own two feet. To take care of myself. To live alone. To be independent.

I have so many dreams I wanna accomplish through time, and studying at UP, for me, is one giant leap towards them. So, despite the hardships I might face in college, I just want you to know that I am determined to finish my studies, that's why I am doing these. :)

And upon reading this entry, I hope that I had given you even a little inspiration or motivation :)

And please do remember my last words for today:
"There is no shortcut to any place worth going :)"
